Donna wanted to veg out a bit, so Alex and I headed south to a dive site called "The Lake". This site has a double reef. After a short swim to the first coral heads, we headed down and straight out to sea. The coral starts in 20 feet and bottoms out at about 80 in the sand. Visability was good. We could look across about 50' of sand bottom to the next reef. As we headed over, Alex spotted this guy. A brown spotted eagle ray with a 4 foot wingspan.

On one of the reefs, there was a small grouper "parked" not doing much of anything.

Here is Alex swimming over to the second reef.

I finally started getting the hang of the strobe. If you are more than a few feet, you have to crank up the power to get the color to stand out.

We hit a max of 80 feet for a total 40 minute dive. (not all of that at 80 feet of course)

Here are some shots of us after the dive.

The wind was blowing pretty good and we got a spot or two of rain but overall the weather was great.
