Karpata

Karpata is a very short drive North from 1000 steps. So we had some time to seek the shady spots that were necessary to keep our sunburn at bay. Well, my sunburn at least. Donna and Alex have been a lot smarter about covering up and using sunscreen. Here is a refreshment stand that was closed, so no refreshments.. but there was shade.

This bird was in the tree you can see in the picture above.

Alex caught a nice shot of this Baracuda. He was about 3 feet and for some reason took a liking to us. He cruised by us about 5-6 times getting very close.

After identifying the Scrawled filefish from yesterday, we realized this guy was a close realative. It is a White Spotted Filefish.

And a nice Trumpet fish.

This one awaits identification. We have to get one of the Reef Fish ID books.

Our exit from the water was quite rough. Rocks and a lot of surf made things interesting.
